Go Up Go Down

I have been studying all the available metal detectors, VLF, PI, &BBS. I am trying to decide which one might be best for me. I am in the Charleston, SC area and hope to find some artifacts and sharks teeth and dubloons. I guess the BBS systems are a little rich for my beginner status and from what I have read the PI systems seem to have greater depth penetration anyway. Of course I will be in salt water and probably will not be deeper that 15 feet or so. Does anyone out there have any suggestions as to what is an all around good machine? I am leaning toward the Garrett Sea Hunter Mark II, Tesoro tiger shark, or the CZ-20 Quicksilver. Any advice would be appreciated for this almost 60 year old newby.

thanks,

Sunsettvu

Hello Sunsettvu, and Welcome to the forum!
Sorry I can't refer you to any of those particular brands/models I'm not very informed with those. We hope to hear about your latest finds in the 'todays finds' threads - be sure to post pictures with them too!
Oh - and don't report finding any Spanish gold coins, Spain might sue you and try and take them back. You're better off just melting the stuff down to ingots and sell them off for bullion!

Thanks for the suggestions, I will keep them under my hat. What detector would you suggest for underwater diving in the $500-$600 range?

thanks again,

sunsettvu
