 Detecting Newby.   First time ever.  detecting in upstate, new york in oneida lake and hudson valley area. Going to go to Erie Canal area tomorrow.  found 11 quarters beside old fishing cabin on oneida lake, nothing old.  maybe good news later.   nite-crawler

Hi Cerayc, welcome to detecting and thunting.com I had a friend that was from the Lake Erie area and he was always making some old and exciting finds. On shores, I believe.  Good luck and I'm sure we'll be hearing lots of yahoo! posts from you - a few pictures would be nice, too.  Smiley Sue
