That's a nice gesture. Are you not a native English speaker? Your grammar is quite hard to understand and your spelling is quite difficult. For example, what is an opinel knife?

GD, an Opinel is a brand of a very simple folding knife.  There is no spring to hold the blade open, and instead uses a ring that slides up over the shank to keep the blade from flopping around.  These knives are easy and inexpensive to make, although it's probably easier and cheaper to buy them from Opinel.  They are a popular marketing gadget because they look impressive but cost almost nothing.

Thanks to you both. I'd never heard of such a knife.

Nono34, your English is much better than my French. Once, in Cannes, I stepped aboard a train just to ask the conductor if I was on the right train. The doors shut before he could answer and I was on the express train to Paris whether I wanted to go or not. Yikes!

You should always stop at the local fruit/vegetable stand and get some nice fruit to offer to the farmer as a blatant bribe.

Long ago, I leaned some good stuff.

While out Hunting , my father and I learned some thing cool.

While hunting a known open field we noticed some Sweet Corn Growing.

We found this sweet Corn Field.  We Drove up the the farm house and asked if we could pick enough for dinner tonight.

With the best Smile you ever seen the farmer said,  You all can have as much as you want.

Handed us two Bushel baskets and said Fell them up.

Your the first folks to ever Ask!

We Did.   Roasted, creamed. and ate some more. Tasty it was.

In two months time we made our way back to the farm hunting Birds again. He always welcomed Dove Hunters.

Invited to the best Farm Dinner you could imagine.   Corn, on the Cob, Mashed Taters, Country style Chicken,  Okra, and some Really Evil Cyder.  I was only 17 and looked like a Hobbled Goat walking to the truck.

This time we brought a Few Watermelons from another farm.  This farmer liked people that spent there Ammo killing Rabbits that was munching his crops.

In one Fall time , We could'nt eat all the Corn given, Water Mellons Given, and got to hunt all the Rabbits we wanted, Doves we wanted and  made some Most Cool Friends.

Just Ask!   You Never Know.

We Did.

Homefire,

I just gotta ask, how long ago was that?!! I do remember days past and present very similar. One guy loved his beer and tobacco gifts. It allowed access to private property and many treasures of all sorts were found! Just like you said...We asked!     Its a bit tougher these days but can very well be done!  great post. Thanks!

Ironman
