Here it is is GD

If he has the same arrangement in his detector it will not work with one 9v battery.

Regards Xavier

...and if i get off my lazy arse and sit down and look at the circuit, so i can find out where the broken
wires go, and clean the pots to stop the "srcatchy" controls, then i will be able to see if i could have run on one 9 volt.
But that is realy just an academic exercise, as i know that the battery life will be a fraction of what i will get with the correct set up. and thanks for the heads up on batterys draining each other GD i hadn't even considered that.

Cheers guys,

JJ
