As a newbie I hope this is not a real stupid question.

I have a Titan 2000xd and if I am on a river bank or at the beach, can the coil and end of the shaft be submersed in say three inches or so of the water?Huh?
Wow!!! I guess this was a stupid question. Welcome

yup, just don't let water get into the electrics, most people screw up when they lift the coils up and water travels down the shaft and into yer box,try knotting a rag around the shaft to catch any water
