Whitetail, do you mean you are having trouble pin-pointing the target?  (In other words, you hear and recognize the signal, but you wind up having to dig a large area to find the target).   Or do you mean something else?

Whitetail, before I go any further, welcome to Thunting.com.  You'll be able to learn a lot here.   You haven't said what type of metal detector you use, but as a general rule, the target it going to be located directly below the center of the coil.  (I say "as a general rule" because the type of detector you are using could change the location of the sweet spot slightly).   Knowing what make and model of detector you have will also allow other users to tell you if your detector has a pinpointing feature and how to use it.
One suggestion is "X" over the target area noting where the tone is loudest and clearest on each sweep.  Where the two legs of the X intercept should be your spot.

By the way, please turn your caps lock off---otherwise people are going to think you are shouting at them, and none of us here is hard at reading.  Smiley

I'd also suggest that you practice in the backyard a little bit.   You can start with coins under a sheet or tarp, and then progress to coins you or someone else buries for you.  If you're going to bury anything you absolutely want to find later (like a ring) I'd suggest marking it with a golf tee.

When I get a signal sweeping one way, say north-south, I change around and swing the MD over the spot going east-west.  That seems to help me zero in on the exact spot.

Just think of any place that a lot of people have gathered, this can be swimming holes, river spots, picnic grounds, parking lots, lawns and parks, new construction sites, if you know when a new project will start ask if you can hunt before the construction begins. Old churches and community centers and the best is to join a club, if there are no clubs where you live start one you will be surprised how many people will respond.

Lakes and beaches are great places, but most of all right where you live. My back yard has produced many coins, just today i dug three quarters out and i have hunted it many times.

Good luck and keep practicing  it just gets better each time and the more you know and trust you detector the more fun it is.
Sorry i thought your were looking for places to hunt. I have an Ace 250 also don't know if you read my post but two thing to do to fine tune this machine is to run the cable straight up the shaft to the first extension then coil it to the top where it plugs in then hold the on/off button on until it beeps twice, mine has worked great since i did this, and for pin pointing like the video make your x with the loudest each way and with a little practice you will be right on, today i cut a plug and pulled it and a quarter was right in the middle of the plug.

My detector when i first got it, it sounded off for everything and would bounce from $1 sign to 5cent to trash and never settle down, but since its been fun, fun, fun!!

Hope this works for you
