Scotland, where is that?

Oh hang it, I forgot, that is where my ancestor, the last Earl Marischal Keith, of SCOTland, was, before he was beheaded. (beheaded in the Tower of London for hiding and secreting away the regalia of Charles Stuart.)  Shocked

Check with Scottish tourism, I can check my sources, and get back, later.

So asking him about farms in Scotland is not an option.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Not without a ouja board or a crystal ball, that is for sure! He might not recognize a descendant, anyway, not having been around all these years! I will not touch a ouija board... they are baaaaad! The most I have ever had to do with THE ANCESTORS  is appeasement, to keep them from mucking with present events!  Shocked

I am still waiting on the Scotish link.... it will  take time even though they are quite alive!  Grin

I think your only chance would be to get in touch with a Scottish detectorist or club, and try to get an invite on their land. I don?t think that there are any farms in Scotland that do detecting rallies for money as such (Unlike England and Wales).  Great

I been  scotland  a lot  with a cheap Detector and  found  few  local coins and  few euro as well.  had no  probs on the beach and local police said they  know  of  no  law that  would stop me  for  having a hobby with  interesting fun on the beech. Some farmers there allowed me too  on their land.   And  in the  the  local pub  at  night  where i found nice Guinness  with no metal detector  and  a  whopper of a hangover in the morning.     Seems like  metal detecting in Scotland and Ireland  have the  same  Law..   ie  NO LAW

Stevie
