Hi !

Very tough requirements.

VLF-Motion underwater units are very good, but they won't find gold chains and bracelets.

PI detectors will, but do not discriminate.

On the other hand, if you want the gold, you'll have to dig aluminium trash.

So....

A good VLF picking tiny gold chains is the Tesoro Tiger Shark..

But there are surely more qualified uw hunters here to help you.

Hi again !

If you're looking mainly for coins in rivers and lakes, or want to hunt in the rain,a VLF discriminator is the best choice.

Here on the continent, they still sell the White's Surfmaster 2 new.

The Tesoro runs 12 Khz, all the others are lower frequencies.

Go for the Fisher CZ-21 ... still the best VLF machine out there.

CZ-20 is good vlf unit, but I think the cz-21 is an upgrade of the cz-20 and darn good detector.

I use a Tiger Shark and have found gold and silver rings. Tiger goes deeper on silver rings than gold ones but that may be the user.

I think the CZ-20 is better as it still has the diodes for optical find identification ,too - otherwise they are identical.

Nah... Wink

It's a conductivity thing.

High conductive targets respond better.

Increasing the searchcoil size will affect mostly Silver and copper (tin..lead...) targets, with minimal or A NEGATIVE effect on low conductive ones. That means indeed LESS DEPTH on gold rings...
