Can anyone tell me which (if any) is the best to use for a PI metal detector Undecided

And then what should the values be for the resistors / caps for gold detecting?

I'm not sure what your talking about!

Input to the First Amp?

Sampling?

Most just use two diodes to clip the incoming voltage.

Two Diodes From Source to Ground.

Flip Flopped to only pass the .6 or what ever volts they produce on the voltage drop in the forward biase.

Look at any PI schematic and you will see them.

Needed to protect the electronics from high voltage (back EMF) that you get if you pulse the coil

If that's your concern, use a power MOSFET to turn it on and off.
