I'm quite sure they both run about 6.5Khz or 7Khz!

The bounty hunters are built a bit on the cheap side but off some more features.

Both are good starter machines.

Resale on the ACE would hold better I think.   The ACE do NOT have a Volume Control!  Bummer.

Honestly look for a used Ace 250 before you buy a new machine. They have been so popular there are used ones all over the place. I have seen the Ace 250 for as little as $150... but when you find one cheap like that you need to be quick because they can go fast at that price.

What Sea said. the 150 doesnt have a pinpoint function, the 250 does, makes big difference, i like the old garrett machines better, like the groundhogs...  alan
