HELLO, I AM NEW TO METAL DETECTING AND NEED SOME ADVISE. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT DETECTOR TO PURCHASE FOR UNDER $700. I PLAN ON USING IT TO FIND COINS AND ANY OTHER TREASURE AROUND, BUT IT ALSO NEEDS TO WORK ON THE BEACH PRETTY WELL. IT ALSO NEEDS TO BE PRETTY EASY TO USE, I DON'T WANT TO SPEND ALL MY TIME ADJUSTING AND FOOLING WITH THE MACHINE. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE WHITES PRIZM T6 AND 5G, OR THE GARRETT GTI 1500. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Kweli, as Seldom said, those are good detectors by good companies.   And his advice about the beginner detectors should also be followed.  One thing I would add, though, is unless you have to have brand new, you might want to look at used submersible detectors by Garretts, Whites, Tesoro, and even Minelab.   They'll work for you on dry land (though they might be a little heavier than some of the newer land only detectors) and you won't have to worry if you get caught by a good-sized wave.   Used, you can definitely find them in your price range.

I have narrowed it down to these 4: Whites prizm 6T, Garrett GTI 1500, Garrett Ace 250, Minelab X-Terra 705. Which one does everyone recommend? I'll be using it for all around hunting and some beach use also. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

I can tell you that the Ace 250 is not the best beach unit I've seen.  I have to back off on the sensitivity a fair amount.  The other Garrett should be fine.  I don't know much about the other two on your list.

There is no magic machine but the Minelab Xterra 705 is a very good and versatile machine that can be used for just about anything but underwater use. All good companies have similar all purpose machines though so it's a matter of your liking and preference.
