Hello.
Can someone tell me what the best detector I could build myself might be? Can I
get schematics, info., parts, ...etc.

Hello, you will find quite a few shematics in our download aread and DITY board. A good project to start with is the Hammerhead PI. What detector to choose will however depend on your applications.

No problem, mate.
I would focus on European information as they will have more on the topic.
(Most manufacturers are in the US, followed by China leading to increased cost in Europe an dmore interest in "building your own")
Please keep us posted and take plenty of pics as YOU will be the next 'example" for future 'builders" if you wish.
EDIT: And Christian has a good point,, there are MANY resources here...

Falcon, now that you have full member rights, you might want to see what we have in our download site.

I'm not one of the do it yourself types when it comes to electronics, but we've got a VERY active technical group here that spend a lot of time hanging out on our Tech Talk boards. At least a couple of our moderators there ONLY use self built detectectors. (not to mention several other members that keep posting pictures of items they've found using home built detectors)......ergo, I'm confident that at least some of the projects discussed in our tech boards and at least some of the schematics in the download site are worth serious consideration.
