Hey Chris...I checked Randi's Web site like you wanted me to....Where can I find the axioms you speak about?...Art

I sent you to a specific article on Randi's website that deals with the ideomotor effect and how compelling it can be to individuals such as yourself.

What you read there, about how certain individuals can be fooled by the ideomotor effect is an axiom.

Perhaps we should review for you what an axiom is.  An axiom is: A self-evident principle or one that is accepted as true without proof as the basis for argument; a postulate

Did you notice the word "theory" was absent from that definition?  That was by design.

If you'd like to find more axioms that support modern day science and physics, I suggest you review some high school level science texts.     Wink

So you refer to Randi's writtings as an axiom because you accept them as true without proof. Isn't that a great basis for an argument. ...Looks like a good axiom for a debate where the truth means nothing.....By the way...Thats not the difinition in my Dictionary...Can we please talk about "Black Boxes"

Just showing the rod holder and how it is impossible for the rods to cross with hand movements. If you can step on a coin using this holder and the rods cross guess what. You just proved that Ideomotor Response as it is defined had nothing to do with the rod movement....Art

Oh!  Shocked

Well, in that case, why don't you show the rods crossing when you step on a coin?

Right on the mark, Art!

You just revealed a whole lot more information in the above answer, than you really wanted to.

Thanks!

Wrong again....Those that want to find out if the Ideomotor Effects are controling thier rods will try it. It also can be used to train them how to eliminate the Ideomotor Effects ( movements of the hands and wrists). I know you won't try any of my experiments as you don't want to know the truth..Art
