I was referring to you. If you want some advice on your forum, quit the harassment of LRL users. Fat chance that ever happening. This place is the worst of the worst.

Mike No one is  Harassing any one.   If you call proof of them working  Harassing then so be it.

I along with many others do not believe the Empty box works.

All We ask is to See them Work.

I for one have never seen one work.

I will sell what ever I can to get one on the first sign of one that works.

That's all I'm asking here.

Would you buy a Detector that does not Work?

Would you buy a Car that does not Work?

Come on here!   Get Real.

Has anyone else ever used the Filter King Plus long range detector and if you have one or used, did you have any luck. I have one that my Dad had but still doing trial and error to using it. I tried to find out if the maker, Claude Cochran is still around but can't find him through Google.
I even tried to find out the address but no luck. I have the instructions and manuals but could use some more instight on the workings of fine tuning the system. Would appreciate any help someone could offer if you did or now use this type of detector. Thank you.

Strapper,

As you've likely realized by now, the Filter King Plus is a "long range detector" only in the sense that it once detected someone's credit card over the telephone. It was designed to find "treasure" exactly once, and had already done so by the time it arrived in the mail. This is true of all LRLs.

Mr. Cochran was, once upon a time, the King of LRL Scammers. The last I heard, he had fled the country, Philippines I think. Literally took the money and ran. Could be 6-feet-under by now.

I collect these LRL monstrosities for the purpose of public education; I currently own around 40 of them. I write the LRL reports on Geotech (Google it if you don't know about them) and offer a $25,000 reward to any LRL manufacturer who can successfully demonstrate their product in a simple scientific test. If you'd care to trade the Filter King for a detector that actually works, shoot me a PM.

- Carl

Guess I need to keep up. So do you have one you want to trade? And why?

Yes, I bought one new. They cost about six hundred. Can't recall if shipping was extra. I bought it because I liked the idea of mainly twenty to fifty foot range. I don't use it much as I much prefer MFD equipment. I did narrow down an area with it and then with the frequency generator I found a gold plated bracelet. It takes more work than an MFD and doesn't pinpoint as well. But you seem to like the oddities to hang on your wall.

I guess I just wanted to gamble on the Raven as I have never heard anything other than your report. I think you said it would not find any treasure, only radio stations and there's only $7 worth of parts in it.  It is still intact isn't it?

Or I will trade you one of my Revelation Locator Rods and a hundred bucks. It's not much use by itself, works much better with a frequency generator. You'd probably have a better chance with that kind of system.

Carl, I've been thinking and I am a bit concerned it might not work in this cow town with only four AM stations. I don't know. So if I am going to trade the Fieldscope I would at least like the option to return it if I can't get any response out of it. As the the Revelation  rod and $100 I could go with a no return policy on that.

Mike, I'm gonna decline to help feed your delusions. Although you, more than anyone else I know, have richly deserved every lesson you've ever paid for. I strongly urge you to call Bob and pay full MSRP for a brand new Raven, instead of getting one violated by a durned skeptic. You can learn for yourself what an AM radio taped to a dowsing rod'l get ya, and then post us your alibis for our entertainment. After that, if you want a priceless lesson, give Chuckie a call, and get his religion. Unfortunately, I think he's dropped the Annual Insult Renewal Fee.

Thanks for your honesty. I do realize there many damaged LRL's out there. Some people just want to see what's inside. And I have been guilty of damaging a rod I tried to modify.

As for the Raven, I figured if Bob Fitz was selling it it must be a fairly good piece of equipment. And I tried the frequencies off another locator that Thomas builds.

As for the Fieldscope, it does work but I doubt you could get much out of it and I never expected you to even try. Just thought you would enjoy taking it apart.

So NO DEAL.

As for the Revelation Locator Rod, I shouldn't say it's not much use without a frequency generator. I have used it for map dowsing and although I don't claim to be much good at it, the rod works because it is glass smooth. I sure haven't seen anything that compares to it. So, yes, the education is expensive and I understand why people charge the high prices.
