Sorry for having to say it but the Minero is NOT working. It is unfortunately a scam.

Christian is correct, the Mineoro's are a scam. I own an FG-80 and it detects radio interference, not gold.

Did you know it was a Scam, before you bought it, or were you swindled by the seller?   Dell

Dell, I can only speak for myself I stumbled open one and disasembled it tehn.

Everyone who buys it not knowing it doesn't work but listeing to the ads sure has fallen victim to a scam.

The scam is in the Mineoro advertising, and the pricing is the rip-off. That is not to say that Mineoro, does not work at all,  but obviously it doesn't work as advertised, in all conditions.

I have comparison tested  two models of Minero with other LRL's, and used one model for several weeks in the field under the operating conditions  experienced in Central Florida, USA.  I was surprised at the accuracy of the depth indicator.

It has been  my experience, that under certain operating conditions, the Mineoro, does detect Gold from a distance. When optimum conditions are not present, the Mineoro, is usless.  Because of this, the operating instruction are mis-leading. The novice is only going to be confused by the information, and betrayed when the Mineoro, doesn't work according  to expectations.

Personally, I don't recommend purchasing a Mineoro, for a variety of reasons, but unless you have throughly  field tested the product yourself, I don't understand  how you can  be fair, or honest, in implying a product will not work at all?

People respect you for your integrity as an authority on these products. Please be factual, or refer what you do not know for fact, to those who have the  field experience and knowledge.

And NO, the person with factual knowledge, and field experience,  is Not  Carl Morland, or the self proclaimed critics posting  on Geotech.     Dell

The square-box Mineoro's (like the FG-80) are not dowsing devices, although Mineoro does sell dowsing rods. The FG-80 detects radio signals and can be triggered using a common garage-door opener. It does not detect gold, and cannot detect gold, regardless of the operating conditions, because it does not have any circuitry that could possibly detect gold. It does, however, contain a radio receiver circuit that is tuned to garage door openers.

In repeated tests using a 10-ounce gold bar at distances as close a 1" under all sorts of environmental conditions, it never once detected the gold. Sorry, but I don't test devices by comparing them to other bogus devices using make-believe phantom buried treasures. I use real targets and look for real results.

- Carl
