LeRoy - I know what u mean , I found one a couple of years ago , didnt think it was worth anything and I gave it to a so called friend who sold it for $50 and didnt share any of it with me.
So now when he asks if I have any marbles or anything from metal detecting I want to get rid of -
I tell him NO !!

I would post a pic of the marbles but most of them are same old same old.
I have posted pics of our marble finds before but if you guys insist, I'll bring them out of hiding and let y'all see em.

So far this year I have accumulated quite a few marbles from that site.
As far as value goes most have little or no value except to me and my friends.
We rarely sell them. I have found some of the more valuable ones but not many.

The Benningtons are sometimes worth a little bit of cash but they have to be in really good condition "No Abrasion" for them to have any value.
The "fancys" are tri and sometimes quad colored and have no touch spots.

I'll post a picture of the Box I keep my marbles in and show you just how abundant they are there. To this day I have found well in excess of a thousand. We started digging there in 2003.
The one I am holding is a "Bennington Fancy" tri colored. The one you see to the top right is a "single spot Bennington" that is a real find. It is the only one I have in my collection that has a single touch spot that resembles an eye! It was a surface find and was found with a "Poison bottle".  An armadillo dug them up and I just happen to walk by that spot that day.
