This is a "Liberty Bell" bank once given to children just before and durring WWII to promote saving. Although it represents the Libery Bell it has no crack.
Be it realistic or embossed.
I was really thrilled to bring this home.
Has anyone of you guys found anything like this?
I will post more eventually.

Thank you for your reply, this bank is one of several I have found over the years.
Two of which were found in this particular dump site.
I sort of started a collection of banks accidentally. My first bank was purchased when I was14 years old 44 years ago, at the Goodwill for 12 cents, "a ZIP code bank". Since then I have aquired a few, to say the least.
Found some, some at garage sales and trade fairs, If I liked it I got it. That is if I could afford them.
I'll post some when I get my camera back into operation.
Till then get off the net and get out and find stuff!!!!!!!

I have not seen one of those banks in years.    Quite frankly I had forgotten about them.   I never had one but several of my friends did.

Dude, how old are you?
I'm almost 60 and I've never seen one.
I'm one of the lucky few to have one so I'm told.......
I just wish it had been full.
