This plaque was found in the same vicinity as the cast iron tractor and the hoof clanger.
It once graced a tractor manufactured by C.L. Best Tractor Co. San Leandro, Calif.
The Holt Manufacturing Company, USA.
The Earliest Patent date on this Plaque is: May 21st 1907
The latest Patent date is: Oct 22nd 1918
If anyone knows anything about Caterpillar Tractors,
then you know that this is how and where they got their start!
You just never know what you are going to come out of that site with.
Bottles are just one of the things found there.
Maybe I'll post some more bottles I found there.........eventually.
There just seems to be so many other things that....oh well that's my story, so many other things to show.

If you mount that on a nice piece of wood it will look great hanging on the wall not to mention a great conversation piece.

Jim

Thank you for the link.
I am aware I had a rare one, I had Holt/Catapillar here in Irving/Dallas drooling over it. I am having it framed for display and have had offers for it.
I was having my F100 serviced and while I was waiting I showed it to a gentleman there who had on a Holt service shirt and he immediately wanted it.
I informed him it was not for sale but I may be talked into displaying it at some time of my choosing.
Thanks for your intrest and come down and go out there with us you may walk out with a prize of a lifetime. The place is no secret but our time there may be cut short if plans for a greenbelt go through. The new bridge is underway and plans for a corridor would render this site out of bounds.
