Found this amber tinted handsome bottle in a thrift store. I don't think it's a spirit brand name bottle, but can certainly contain any liquor, like wine. It seems vintage but can't pinpoint the decade. Anyone?

I think the latest anyone used that kind of swing top stopper was in the fifties.
Gotta be at least 50 years old....
There was a drink (soda) over here in the U.K. called "Tizer" that used a similar bottle but much larger in size.

Thanks. I thought it was from the 50s as well. I'll keep looking for its origin and content  Great

I think its a reproduction made in China in the 70's at the height of the bottle craze here in the U.S. Are there any markings on the bottom or top.

No, no markings  Undecided  Maybe its just a replica. Hey Seldom are you familiar with a soda called Quizz? It used to be bottled in Chicago, but there is nothing in ebay about it.

Ok I have done some reading and found that from about 1880 to 1940 Chicago had more bottling company's then most states. Chicago also treated soda and beer like the rest of the country treated milk. They bought large quantity's and bottled it under their own name.
If that guys who email I sent you can not help I think you may want to check your local library.

Thank you Seldom, you've been awfully helpful. We have found many Chicago-based soda bottles, but most APL bottles have either damaged/faded labels or are already gone. Some others are probably older for they are fancy looking with embossed labeling. And yes, we have found only a few milk bottles  No no! in comparison. We'll contact the bottle collector and see if we could get him some more bottles to add to his collection. Below is a picture of an extinct Chicago-based bottling co. called Polonia Botling Works. Very rare, we have only found one.
