Well, of the Bounty Hunters, it scores about the highest ratings with its users.   The principles you learn using it will transfer to future metal detectors if you ever decide to upgrade.

If you haven't bought it yet, you might want to look at a Garrett or a Tesoro or one of the Teknetics (made by the same company as makes the Bounty Hunter).

Not sure what the 202 is selling for but the 250 is still around 225 dollars. The BH is what a ;ot of people start with and still use years later so yes it is a good detector. I have a BH QS that I use in the dry sand that works great for me.
