Was searching a playground yesterday and got a strange, mixed tone; dug it and came up with eight clad dimes and six nickels - all in about a six inch circle.  Learning something new each time I go out!

So I took my tracker IV out today to scope the park out I was going to hunt.  The tot lot is pea gravel which I really prefer.  But the lot is clean.  Someone been there?  The surrounding area has some shreaded alum and pull tabs but not as much as I expected to find.  I was just taking a sampling.  They have a nice bathroom for us frequent flyers!  There is a big field that is used for carnival-style events.  Lots of ground to cover.

Somebody was pretty lucky!  Found a 9mm round while checking a neighbors yard - looked like the lawn mower had hit it a couple times - missed the primer by about 1/8 of an inch!

This metal detecting stuff can be quite surprising!

Found a 1957D penny the other day when rechecking a park that I've hit numerous times.  More clad and lots of bottle tops.  Having a good time and getting some exercise as well - who could ask for more?   .....some silver maybe?
