RadioShack Metal Detector Manuals

I think many of the RadioShack Metal Detectors are the same as Bounty Hunter, but are of foreign manufacture?

Outback is right.  First Texas electronics manufactures models of detectors for Radio Shack and Wal Mart and also sells the models they make under the names of Bounty Hunter, Teknetics and now also Fisher.  For example...look at the new Fisher and see if it doesn't show some resemblance to the Bounty hunter line.

I would like to say that the people at Bounty Hunter Are great. I have an old detector that the kids lost the battary covers to. Called BH and they sent replacements to me no charge and included the user manual as well.

BOUNTY HUNTER DIDN'T SHOW A MANUAL FOR MINE. IT'S A 1-D/505. IT'S CHEAP, IT'S OLD BUT IT'S ALL I HAVE AND ALL I WILL HAVE IT LOOKS LIKE. ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A MANUAL? CAN THEY BE IMPROVED ON ANY?
THE COIL WIRE CONNECTS INSIDE IT. CAN A CONNECTOR END BE PUT ON IT AND A BETTER COIL INSTALLED? WHAT COIL IF ANY WILL WORK?
ANY HELP OUT THERE ANYONE ?  I'D SURE APPRECIATE IT.
