Hi, I would like to add an earphone jack to my B.H. Pioneer ex.   Has anyone done this and how did you get the case apart to get started?
Thanks!

Normally, it just means hooking it up to your speaker wires but the volume might be way too much so most folks add an audio tapered potentiometer. Your speaker impedance is most likely either 4 ohms or 8 ohms. Normally the latter. Your headphones will be a match but even if not, the sound will be acceptable. The volume may not be so invest in a volume control What type you need will vary with the model of your machine. Contact Bounty Hunger for their recommendations.

Hi, thanks for the reply.  I'm familiar with electronic parts, diagrams, soldering, etc.   What I need is an easy way to get to the circuitry of the Pioneer EX, which seems to be pretty well sealed without obvious screws, seams, etc.    I don't want to damage the case any more than necessary.

Thank you for replying so promptly!

I see. On mine, the front panel peeled off after removing the knobs and nuts holding things together. Keep it clean so you can replace it later.
