I posted this over the summer, but my photos weren't that good.  Hopefully these are a bit better.

I need help identifying this button.  I am not sure if it's anything special or not.  It looks like it has a person sitting in a sailboat.  If found it in a farm field where a house used to stand from the late 1800's-1950's.

Did you try to do a Google search? All that I can say at this stage is that it looks very old. I will research it when I get back home.

All the best

Sir Luke, you are right about those being MUCH better pictures than the pictures you posted during the summer.  In the picture, it looks like there is a harbor in the left background (buildings going up a hill).    Is this the case, or is it just a trick of the lighting and wear?  That detail, coupled with the fact that the "crescent" behind the mast looks like it could actually be the either a "C" or "G" (possibly with a flower), could go a long way to identifying the button.

Hey BA,

It's hard to tell due to the condition, but I don't think there's a harbor.  What I am seeing for sure is the boat, a person sitting in it, the mast, and what you thought may be a C or a G, to me is the sail.  There's also a squiggly looking line coming off the top of the mast as well.
