Go Up Go Down

I have been metal detecting for 8 years now with my Garretts 2 box detector looking for hidden caches.  Haven't found anything as of yet but I am doubting the ability of the Garretts 2 box detector.  I have found smaller caches (10 - 25 coins) with my other Garretts metal detector.  Does anyone have any feedback on the Garretts.  For the past 10 years I have aquired 128 silver dollars, and 28 gold coins buying some every month at a coin shop during these past years.  The other day I put all of these coins in a box and tried to see how my 2 box detector would react.  I was surprised.  If I didn't know I had coins in there I would of never of stop to check the target.  It was that weak.    Who has feed back on the 2 box detector for cache hunting?

Spanish gold1

I was looking threw the boards,go to:

Topic: Deep Cache Hunting Detector?

If you read threw them I think you will find some interesting information on 2 boxes.

Doing a search on this site is kinda funky sometimes?I think they were moving servers awhile back?

But if you look around you can usually find Exactely what your looking for or you can start your own post.

Sometimes after you start a post someone will chime in that the subject has already been exhausted and you can then ask them were to find the information.

Good luck,

JP

I'm thinking you could dress your son up in a boy scoot uniform and have him go to the door when his wife is home alone and ask for any ski related item for a donation.LOL

Spanish gold  Your best bet is with a TF900 or a whites 808 2 box. I dont think the Garretts is as deep as those 2. Or better yet a Pulse detector is a beast on depth. The 2 boxes are good to about 2-3 ft and any thing smaller than a pop can they generally don't see it. However a pulse will see down thru dirt etc a lot better and deeper. jmho.
