BOUNTY HUNTER PLATINUM

I am interested in hunting for a Train Robbers Tresure in Texas.  The treasure is said to be primarily 1877 Gold Eagle $20 Coins that are uncirculated.  The treasure is on private lands.  Would the Land owner and myself splitt the find 50/50?  Would the state of Texas have a claim on the treasure?  How would one go about selling such a find with its historical value ?  Any answers or educated guesses would be apprecited.

Whitley as for the split between you and the land owner that needs to be put in writing before the hunt. The state has a claim on it if they know about plus the bank/insurers have a claim. Thats why the fewer people that know about it the better.

This sounds like a Sam Bass lead to me, think if you do a little more research you will be surprised what you come up with.
