Hey Karl this is what I just bought, I have the 48" version of this one in the lower left picture and I have just bought the new X-Treme version which has all the hardware Zinc coated and a heavy duty winch/ clamp adapter and it is charcoal colored powder coated,

   Careful with them Puppies.    Was with a guy who failed to insure the lever was locked in place .  Jacking up his truck the handle Flu up smacked him in the head. Cracked his skull from the jaw line over the top of his cranium.   His Eye Ball popped out of the socket.   Put a wet wash cloth over his face and drove 35 miles to a hospital.  His eye went back in place buy the time we got there but boy was he in hurting status.

Thanks Homie I appreciate the warning I knew that they do have to be treated with care but I have only heard a few things about them on YT so thanks for the heads up, I have always been weary about using them and kept my self at arms length from the thing when I have used them, they are a great piece of gear and when I get my truck sorted I will be set for anything, I have a 9500 LBS winch here and I am going to get a bigger one for the front of the truck as well.

Like Homie said be careful with those.  I know of one incident involving a hummer and the jack slipped and killed the soldier.

Always use on flat level ground when possible.

Homie don't know if i would have ridden in your homemade contraption,  probably in my younger days before i became aware of my own  mortality.

The horror of it does not bare thinking about, poor Soul, I always make every one stand well back when ever I have used them in the past, and I keep as much space between me and it when ever I use them, I must admit I have always liked them but all these accidents has got me worried even though I am very careful,
