Been detecting every day since June 8th. Collected over 3000 coins, plus rings and jewelry. Taking Sat through Tues off and enjoy some time with my children.

  Nothing going on here.  Even if we had the means we wouldn't travel on the major holidays.  To many Nut jobs running around.  Just like I try to avoid going fishing on the week ends.  Go during a week day and things sure are better.

Were going to visit family on Saturday and take the boat out to the airforce base Sunday
As it's a private lake on post. Great size for fishing, tubing, etc. And never crowded.

I got out metal detecting last Monday for the first time in 2 1/2 + years at a local park. I found 62 cents in new money.  But it was good to get out!

No real plans for Labor Day weekend here.  Will go to a barbecue at my daughter's house on Monday.  Our stewardess granddaughter is home visiting for a week or so and her older sister from Idaho and her husband are supposed to be over for the weekend, so we look forward to that.

My older brother from Tennessee drove out to N.E Oregon to visit last week.  Don't see him often but had a good visit.  My family is pretty scattered, too, and getting more scatter as the years pass.

We are planning a visit from Hermine on Saturday evening. She plans to stay until Monday afternoon. She's supposed to bring about 4" of rain with her.

Fortunately, we are 400ft above the flood plain. We get puddles but no flooding.
