and with a chuckle, may we all find that Pot of Aluminum jewelry at the end of the rainbow!  Grin

Hows it swinging mates?  Detecting

I'm going out with the Fisher 1266X today at an old Church site from 1860, so I know I'll be digging some iron and junk, but am looking forward to some valuable signals that are in the Aluminum range of the scale...

Cheers & se Y'all later,  Great
Jim

Sorry.  I went with a hunting party to Oregon to hunt with guns.  I didn't shoot anything except a camera.  I was going to post some pics but they are too big and I forgot how to downsize them.

BUT NOW, I'm on my way out with my MD to explore around Idaho City!

Go Up Go Down

As I mentioned in the prior thread,

I was going to go out and use my Fisher 1266X to hopefully locate some valuable Aluminum finds, but what I found was a nasty Bug bite to my left ring finger, which felt like 3 Hornets or Wasp stinging me at the same time. I was fine after 24 hrs with slight swelling & pain.
The good news is, this varmint ended up not being poisonous. Angry

The Bug I killed, deader than a iron door nail, and saved him to identify at home...

Well I'm alittle familiar with Science, so when I pulled up my Entomology site, I found out that this blood-sucker pain in the rear, has a very sharp & pointed 3 sectional curved beak, and there bites can be quite nasty...

No the Bug wasn't a Volkswagen Beetle,  Grin

It ended up being an ASSASSIN BUG!
pic below...

{alt}

So my advice for you guys, is to just be careful what you touch out in the field while Hunting, it could be a nasty & dangerous bug!  Teach

Cheers,
Jim

They usually call them "Kissing" bugs in Arizona because they have a nasty habit of going after the mouth and nose of sleeping people.  They can carry some serious diseases.
