And as I look out the office window mere miles from the Barrett-Jackson and Russo & Steele Auto auctions here in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona, the temperature outside is 56F/13C under clear skies with 64% humidity and no wind.   Sure wish I was outside with my detector making hay while the sun shines.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open Golf Tournament uses the same parking areas as the auctions starting a week after the auctions conclude......so the prime time for the parking area will be early February.

Yep, I'd be visiting the auction as well.      SO I guess visitor's & participants park in a grassy area BA? Thats got to be alot of acreage...?  Lots of ground to cover makes for a good days hunt. Supposed to be in the high 50 this Sat. Finally might get out to try the new detector.?

Depends upon which of the two auctions you are going to, but for the Russo & Steel auction  (which I have to drive by each day) it is a combination of public and private with most of it being State Land (with no trespassing signs).   As far as grassy goes, that's sort of a generous way of putting it although if your choices are "grassy" or "paved", grassy it is.   I believe it's pretty much the same for the Barrett Jackson except that I believe some of the land is owned by one of the local tribes.   Carl may have some details.
