Every time I try that with Mrs BA, she goes out with it and finds something better than I find.

Be nice to her and maybe she will let you know how she does it.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

There's always that risk, mate. But what better detecting partner can you have than Mrs BA?

On my way  down  the  hill yesterday  I came across  a  large alien  crash site must have been  4 aluminum  cans.

err   I   mean  space  ship's  I went  ahead  and  got the mail out of  the  box .then   returned  to  the  crash site.

upon close  inspection  I found no alien   bodies .  Just the partial  name  of  their  planet written  on the side of  the

space  crafts  B-U-D-W-E. and the rest were  so mangled I couldn't  make  it  out.

so I cleaned  up  the  evidence .  And  now just waiting  on  the  next crash  site to appear.

outpost Go Big Orange .  Over and out.

The only problem with having her for a detecting partner (other than she finds better stuff than me a lot of the time) is that I'm just now getting her to the point where she can set up her own equipment (or maybe it's that I just now stop falling for her "Where is the ....? and How do I....?" questions that inevitably come with batted eye lashes).   Up until recently, that has meant it takes me twice as long to get ready to hunt once we reach the site than it does anyone else.  :Smiley

Yes I read that on nbc news the other day. I probably won't be around in 2050, but maybe I should preorder a humidifier  for my casket. But, then again it's a dry heat, and they don't call me Dusty Carl  for nothing. Don't know what kind of plans BA has.

Well the good news is that if they are forecasting a mega-drought for the last half of this century, it must also mean we'll be getting OUT of our current decades long drought is going to end.  Hopefully sooner rather than later.
