I've got a website that I'm working on(not metal detecting), and the guy that I'm building it for wants to have one of his pages where it fills out a 'form' and submits it. I've got it coded up in HTML, but it's not working right. Sometimes it sends him an email, and sometimes it doesn't.
 Sad

The other pages aren't a problem, but it's just the one page. It has lots of entries for the 'form' - this is an employment application form that someone can fill out. If someone doesn't mind helping me get this fixed right I'd appreciate it even if it means to write it in a different code that's OK too.  PM me and we can talk!
Thanks
 Smiley

I'm not charging the guy any money for it, just doing it for him as a favor.

I don't really believe it is only the one page having problems. That doesn't seem possible. If one works, they all should work. For forms, you need both an HTML page and an active server side script like Perl or PhP . The HTML gathers the information into a set of "variables" and passes them to the script which sends them. They are normally stored either permanently or temporarily into a MySQL database before mailing them.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I don't have it coded (at all) in Perl or PhP, nor do I have any MySQL tables on the server. Perhaps I need to? I don't know - I've never done this sort of web page programming before.
