WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT METAL DETECTING....

For the past year and a half, I have done a weekly half-hour old-time radio show for a local radio station that broadcasts to the sight-impaired.

Recently I have been uploading the show to the internet, so everybody can listen.

Here's the show I just posted this morning:

------------------------------

The Green Hornet (Britt Reid) was the son of the nephew of the Lone Ranger.

Like the Lone Ranger, he fought crime though law officers thought he was an outlaw.

And like the Lone Ranger, he had a foreign sidekick (Tonto for the Lone Ranger, Kato - a Philipino - for the Green Hornet).

The program ran from 1936 to 1952, and though several actors played Britt Reid, Al Hodge is best remembered for the role.

This episode, Torpedo on Wheels, originally aired on November 14, 1942.

Hey Dan,   really appreciate it.   Seems like you're always doing something to make life a little better for others.

This takes me back to the days when my Dad was stationed in Germany---Armed Forces Network regularly ran old serials as part of it's offering.
