Go Up Go Down

Dells been around the block a few times. I remember seeing him on the , Whats My Line Show, back when I was a teenager. Guess he-s  been on a few thousand adventures since then.  Thanks for sharing Dell, hope you can do a autobiography before you take that last treasure search in the sky. Your career as treasure searcher would make great reading  Smiley

Wow! Great memory, Thank you.

Actually, I also appeared on the New, What's my line show as an Alligator wrestler. The alligator was backstage and got away from my helper. You could hear the 7 foot gator on a rampage crashing through sets all the way out in the studio audience, and on camera. I had a lot of fun back then.  Dell

Oops! sorry! I had the photo mislabeled and posted a Croc photo instead

Well, I should of said I think I almost remember. I thought it was earlier than this.   Smiley Is this it?

Season 14, Episode 11 ? Aired: 11/11/1962
EPISODE #638

Game 1: Miss Mimmi Paulsen - "Radio Operator On Ship" (salaried; she is a licensed radio operator and works on a cargo ship; from Haugesund, Norway)

Game 2: Mr. Dell Winders - "Porpoise Trainer" (salaried; very tall; he trains 7 porpoises that perform a "porpoise show" at the new Aquarama Aquarium at 3300 South Broad Street in Philadelphia, PA; the full name of the marine aquarium is Aquarama: Theater of the Sea; Bennett asked if Dell had heard about the white porpoise at the Miami Sea Aquarium; from Philadelphia, PA)

Game 3: Bette Davis (as Mystery Guest)

Maybe it was the gater episode I remember., Getting old sucks. Smiley

You got it. That was Goodson, Toddman productions.

Back then everybody called them Porpoise. It took quite awhile to educate the public that they were Bottle Nose Dolphin (Tursiops Truncatus) not Porpoise'

It's amazing! I still run into folks that remember me from Capt. Kangroo. They were just little kids then.

Again, I Thank You, but it looks like I have hijacked my own thread?

Can you move this part of the discussion over to chat?
