I guess once all the water has gone them creek beds would be a good place to detect for Gold where the rubbish does not build up.

   Here in the South West we get those just about every Major Rain Storm.   It can rain like ell up in the higher ground and 20 miles away you get that.

The places where rubbish gets caught is the best place, not the worst. Clear it away and you'll find fine gold every time. Those spots where branches and rocks pile up are perfect for snagging gold flakes and fine gold. Every corner is also a good place on the inside of the elbow.

Where you see a sort of grayish area, look closely and you will see it is a fan of black sand from where the heavy stuff got left behind. Trust me, that is where the gold is. Dig it up, pan it and smile.
