Go Up Go Down

As some of you may have figured out already, I have a small but very powerful little library nestled around me in my wee studio way up here, in Ottawa, a very white covered Kanuky style place right now.  I am starting to share a few of the choice books from this little collection with anyone interested in what books I still keep near at hand like that. Some of them have quite the history and many, were very near lost to me, a number of times, which sadens me deeply even now to remember those hard&bad times I had to somehow try and get through. Thank the Lord, I kept paddling, cause we all know, ya never give up in life, and well, here I am to-day sharing some of my cool old favorites with ya'll. Life IS good friend. Smiley

This particular man had dug treasure long before he bacame the author of this gripping little softcover. Jim does a splendid job of getting those who are fairly new to looking for hidden caches, all pumped up and ready to go, and to uncover some now dead ol' misers stash, wherever it's hiding out there. There's plenty of good photos to make the light bulbs in yer head pop on, in this sweet little book too. Inside and outside searches are analayzed and explained in excellent details. Smiley

Anyway  the first picture is of the author Jim Warnke and the second shot is of course a cover shot of this powerful little book. It first came out in 1982 then a bigger issue, I believe, came out in 1992.  Jim covers a real good smattering of stuff like, how most people work, think and act, when it comes to putting away their hard earned cash and coins etc. He teaches getting to know about the hiders, by some of the clues they left behind, seemingly for someone like you perhaps, with a book like this in your daypack. Cool

It's good enough to be in my semi-famous, semi-mini, camo BoB to say the least. You can never know too much about how to find real treasure, so if you can find this Warnke Classic anywhere, a treasure in itself, scoop it up, quick! Nuff said...

Larry, looks to be a really good, informative book. Can't wait to find out what other gems you have in your library. Thanks for sharing. Sue

Well hello again Megan, I'm thrilled that you found your way over to my wee CacheHuntin pic post here. Smiley It's great to  read your kool comments always and real special to see some of them in here, to-day. Thanks so much.  How cool is it that you are already familiar with this excellent writer? Too Cool, methinks.  Grin Are there any of those Streeters with your stuff in them around anymore or have they too, gone the way of the DoDo bird? I'd love to read more of your words, if there are. Also I've read a very interesting post or three of yours out there on some other boards so I know how you like to tour around, like I do. It's a big world out there and this Internet thingy has helped every single one of us in here, in many, many ways. The fact that Knowledge is the key to success, has been passed on to the wise for years and years now, and it's seemingly even more true these days than ever before, in my humble estimation.  Smiley

Meg, where in the heck do you find the time to write all those powerful books of yours? No, never mind that, where do you get all the energy to do all that writing? Shocked  I get tired just readin' all the titles., and some of the feedback from folks who LOVE your stuff. You GO girl. You Rock! Cool Grin Oh, I love your reference to the loon call too. I might just start usin' that if it's o.k. with you pretty missy? :Smiley Grin Cool

Sure, you can use that phrase, Larry.

I happen to think a Loon is one of the most handsome waterfowl God, she ever did make. Cheesy
