My flatbed scanner is OK (most of the time), and so is my digital camera (about 6 MPixels), however my Christmas present I got was a nice Sony alpha DSLR - and let me tell you! ... it's got a 'macro' setting where you can get really good close-up pictures and get some pretty serious details! I'll try to post on this thread when I get home of a couple coins to show you guys an example of how good it is... Wow! this thing rocks!

And - from taking the picture to downloading the picture onto my PC is done in a snap too!

Dang, homefire, couldn't you have at least turned the picture rightside up so I could have seen it without standing on my head?  My poor braincell isn't used to all that blood rushing by it.

OK, here's an example.. had to reduce the size of the image because it was 727k.

This is one of a casino chip - I collect them too!

In both these examples all I used in the background - was a plain piece of white computer paper to get a nice clean background.

Na That was the way I took the Photo.   The penny was up side back asswards.


You Penny is out of focus because of the angle of the camera.

You'll figure it out.
