Heads up everyone!!!
I know a few of us have been dropping into chat to see if we can catch anyone in the thunting chatroom with no success to note i guess.
I've been in a few times and have had no luck. Today however someone joined the chat while i was sitting in there hoping someone would show up so we could say we have been there and it does work.
I was somewhat surprised when I didn't recognize the screenname and found out that someone had just tripped across the room and wondered what it was.
I explained to the person who used a SC of "Womble" (I think) that the room was a chat room about treasure hunting metal detecting and other different interests of the such that follow that line such as maps caves shipwrecks antiques and so on.
Come to find out the person was from England and used to metal detect. We talked for awhile about many different finds and I had explained that I thought they had found the room from the thunting website. When they told me they had just seen the chatroom and was curious....I thought well...here is a great opportunity. After talking for awhile it sounded like the person was thinking about getting back into metal detecting due to the rich history in the area and dug items found when they used to detect.
So after hearing this I did what any fan of the thunting site and treasure hunting in general would do and made sure to drop a link for the site. At the end of the conversation the person had to go but asked for the link again and said they would check it out further later when they had time and that what they had saw of the site looked good.
Hopefully we will have a new member from England joining soon.
As for the current members we do have at the forum......Hope to see you in chat sometime.
