OK, guys here's another thought about this, suppose you find just $1 worth of silver coins (whatever combination of dimes, quarters, halfs or just one dollar). Great - Then take that and list it on eBay sell it off and take that money and donate it to the red cross! It didn't cost you anything except the time to go out there and find it! I've recently found that $1 in silver coin is going for around 20x face-value and sometimes more!  Smiley
OR - Another way you could do it, is eBay has a feature to let you choose to automatically have it a charity donation/auction so all the proceeds can go to a charity of your choice again, my suggestion is the American Red Cross.
Something to think about.

Helping them out is a fine Idea I sure hope they get the stuff fixed up Pronto!

You may wanna set aside some of that for us!

Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico has been living with the Radio Activity loosed during the open nuke test done back in the old days all this time. If you check it out, this is when Breast, Testicular, Thyroid and other cancers including Lung cancers started to spike.

In New Mexico here in Deming, Dogs that reside outside have skin tumors from it all the time.

I personally knew 5 people and had a dog died from Leukemia! Does that sound right to you?

I was in the USAF stationed in Athens Greece during the Chernobyl thing.

Greece was one of the last ones to report the readings.

We already figured it out when all the sheep, Goats and live stock disappeared.

The Signs on all the fruit and olive trees with Radio active markers were a clue.

What you don't hear is the scary parts.

I hear ya , Was the hazmat guru for years as an additional duty, once u get all them classes and certifications etc , Doesn't matter if u transfer to another Unit in another country , you are still going to be
the hazmat guru. some of the stuff that is out there is Darn right Frightening !!

This is not even close to being over with , I will guarantee it.

Sea Water (salt water) on a nuclear reactor is a extreme last resort .
Only to be used when u have no other options . This will not end nicely !!

While the earthquake & flooding were forces of nature, these reactors are manmade/designed & in places where huge earthquakes & waves were highly possible. They sent balloon bombs to the US during WW2 using the jet stream so entirely possible we may receive fallout if they can't get those reactors under control.

Sue.. and actually how many of those balloon bombs actually landed on US soil?
The pacific ocean is really huge. On another point though - I'm guessing that the higher brass is putting a choke hold on the media telling them to tone-it down as much as possible to prevent everyone from panicking right now too.
