Go Up Go Down

Eileen reminded me about when we got our first MD.
My 250 Ace came with it's coil cover, I dutifully put it on to protect it while in transit. When arriving at my first hunt site I duly removed it with some difficulty as it was a tight fit, then did my days tectin' and when finished cleaned the coil and put the cover back on. Did the same next time out and nearly broke my nails removing it, when I got home I contacted my dealer
who informed me of the proper usage of the cover.
Bet he was L His AO.
(Didn't I feel silly)

Eileen was in kinks and almost crying when she recounted it to me. She thought it was a hoot.

Totally funny! Enjoyed reading your newbie experience - my biggest blunder, when I started, was not knowing what to use as a digger. The only person I'd ever seen detecting was at a beach. A spade was always what I'd dug with so I really had a lumpy yard when I was finished. Neighbors were approaching me concerned that I might want to "do" their property when I finished thunting mine.

Hey Sue,
Now if your yard had been done by these makeover people, they would have described it as gently undulating & adding interest to the property.
I enjoyed the worried neighbors bit, could just imagine them cowering behind the bushes in fear of you asking permission. (ha ha ha)

Great stories.  I really got a laugh out of the coil cover story.
