Now that the ball is rolling, I hope it will keep on gaining momentum! It's high time that members of this site chipped in a little bit to defray the running costs. With continued support, thunting.com can improve and grow and that will benefit everybody.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
While it is good to get as much donations as possible from selling your points, kindly keep in mind that this is an international forum with visitors from many countries and walks of life with varying levels of disposable income and diverse living standards. Do not set prices too high such that it may put off some people.
I know it is very hard and subjective to pin down a value to the gold points, but I would like to see it as affordable to most people. Certain visitors may not be able to afford a metal detector right now, or have much to say in the forum, but if he/she is helped to obtain an object that had been found by using a metal detector, it should spur the person on to pursue this hobby further.
On the other side of the coin (pun intended), don't make the points too cheap also or it will detract from the value of the shop's items and also curtail people from posting more input into the forum. A suitable balance has to be found.
