Sometimes she has a couple of good dug up Military badges..and thats what I collect...but she just seems to offer the ones I already have.
I have about 250 dug Military badges and buttons so far...but I am always looking for more..my oldest button is the "Royal Provincials" form in the 1770s in Nova Scotia.
The mambers of the UKDN have sent me most of these free of charge as they know I put on the Camp X event as well as the annual Rememberance Day display here in Whitby Ontario.
One fellow just sent me a WW1 1914-1915 Star a Medal named to a fellow that was killed a Ypres in 1915..his unit was wroking with the first Canadian Div at that time.
The odd thing is this..the Medals ( he would have been given 3) were not sent out until 1920 or later...this means his Family recieved long after his death...just how this one ended up in a field is beyond me.
Perhaps one of the family took it out to show it off and lost it.
I have seen a few dug WW1 Medals found here in Canada all but one were found near old school houses...guess the kids took them in for show and tell then lost them.
Wish I could get those off the guys that found them.
Dean
