This photo was taken in Bettonville NC 5 years ago.
I have been reenacting the US Civil War for over 20 years and am the Provost Marshal ( Safety Officer) for the 1st Div ANV.
We have over 2700 men in our unit.
I am riding "Kate" a Tenn Red (Mule) and she was 17 1/2 hands high..dosen't look like it in the photo..I am the one on the left and Gen Charles Clark ( the Commander) is in the center.
We were setting up a photo of the Div.
I am wearing my "field Uniform" the one I use during work details.
The red armband allows people to know that I am the Provost and carry an emergancy radio as we have several injuries during these events.
The badge on my chest ID's me as the Provost Marshal.

welfare is a great thing for a lot of great people who have a lot of great needs.

other countries let their people lay & rot with flies all over them.

i wouldn't waste my time reliving the past..i can barely keep up with the present!

But you have to admit..a lot of people take advantage of the welfare system..I know they do here in Canada...many are just too lazy to work.

I have no problem with those that need it.
