Chris, maybe you just need to spend some time doing some research in the library to try to identify some new areas....or maybe it's time to go back over a couple of the places you hit when you first started and see what you can turn up now that you've improved your technique.

Chris, the best advice I can give you is to slow your search down to a crawl. Covering more empty space isn't the answer. Looking for deeper, older targets by slowing down your sweep and covering more area by overlapping will produce coins and relics every time. Go back to your favorite place and try it. I guarantee you'll be pleased with the results.

[funny]On a less serious note, your detector may be punishing you for all the recent thoughts you've had about replacing it.  Funny

Try, GD's suggestion......you'll be so pleased with the results that you'll probably find a better use for the money you wanted to spend on those exotic machines.

Chris- aside from research, knowing your machine well and using proper techniques, there's one more thing you need: determination. Since you're addicted to this hobby like us, that should be no problem. Keep plugging away and you'll be kilometers ahead of those who fall by the wayside.

I'm sure that your finds will increase as you become more comfortable with your machine.  Keep searching and have fun!
