Yesteday I watched this one on DVD with my girlfriend! What a let down! I really like Johnny Depp but the screenwriter of this movie must have been drunk. What a bad story and plot! Too bad nobody is making great pirate flicks like tehones with Erol Flyn anymore!

I saw it when it first came out...

...I liked the way they did Davey Jones. The special effects were good but the story was lacking

I watched a program called " The Real Pirates of The Carribean" on the History Channel a few nights ago.

It's amazing how Hollywood has managed to glamorize a bunch a of vicious savages who would put Saddam Hussein and Adi Amin to shame. The torture they used back in those days made even me - wince.

Seems I've heard from quite a few people now that the movie wasn't all that great. Guess maybe I should waste some time and check it out for myself.
