Go Up Go Down

Over time I have found quite a few dog license tags as well as the rabies vaccination tags that pet owners normally have on the pets collar. In the past when I have found a rabies vacc. tag they have always been dated with the year the vaccination was given and I have always been under the impression that dating them that way had always been common practice for vets.

Last week however I dug a rabies vacc. tag that did not have a date to it.  This seemed rather odd to me.  Has anyone else ran across a situation like this?  Any ideas why it would not be dated?  It seems to be a common tag and is made of anodized aluminum I believe but yet there is no date on this particular one.

Puzzling...

string, now days they use anodize aluminum in differant colors for differant years
it's probably cheaper that way, plus the dog catcher can eyeball a real fugitive without having them collared  Grin

Yeah they are usually anodized aluminum I've even got a couple stainless steel and all that I have found have been different shapes and colors and have been dated as well.  All except for this one that for whatever reason has no date to it.

Nonetheless still odd....
