most of this trail or areas around it have rich history as it was travled by g.washington & many before him. lots of nearby battle sites~expeditions~ect..

here are a few pics. boston/mckeesport pa. is where it starts.ends in d.c.

i jumped ahead a little bit~this is about 45 miles from last pic. taken atop one of many bridges on bicycle trail Shocked

this is ohiopyle pa. there are probably one hundred or more old little & big towns along this amazing crushed limestone trail Grin

this trail sometimes goes for 25 miles of traveling through a green tunnel of leaves in summer with no signs of civilization!
