Hi all .. i have a little problem i need some help with

I have over the year 2006 tried to get a homepage made with a database in it.. i just dont seem to be abel to get it to work.

What i need is the form that submits the Information straight to the datebase and publish it on the page with the info that i dont want classified like Names and Adresses.
i then want on the page the option to search the information and submit comments.

If any of you can help me i would be very happy.

What type of server is it?

Do you have root/system access?

Link?

What is your programing skill level, what languages?

What type of data is it, how do you want to display it?

Any other info would help in forming a recommendation.
