Anyone know of some good treasure hunting themed movies ? I'm looking for some new movies to watch. My current favorite is "Fool's Gold". Funny , but gets me in the hunting mood. Anybody have any favorites ?

Here ya go, you must see, Nicolas Cage in National Treasures 2004

AND National Treasures Book of Secrets 2007, In these movies he plays the part of Ben Gates and he is a modern day
Indiana Jones.

Only they are a bit more grown up but I still like the Indiana Jones

Mackenna's Gold is the one that started it all for me, a true classic.

add "Congo 1995" "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre 1948" "The Nugget 2002" to the list.

Great list you have there, outback.   I could probably come up with a few (mostly OLD) classics that aren't on it, but it would take some work since I'd have to go looking for the pre 1960's movies  Wink

I'll add Secondhand Lions to the list.   It isn't directly a Treasure Hunting movie, except for the young man being on a "treasure hunt" to uncover the mysteries of his Uncles' past (which does involve treasure).   Besides, I have no trouble picturing Seldom and GD in the Michael Caine and Robert Duvall roles.
