Typhoon Mirinae hit Luzon last night. At 1AM this morning, winds picked up in Laguna. Now certain parts of Laguna and Cavite are without power. Cell phones are still working though as I type. Here's hoping that Pinoys who are part of this forum escape unscathed.

4 typhoons in one month is a bit too much! Stay safe.

Yes, Hobbyist, I've been reading about all that is happening, wondering how the members were and hoping for the best. 4 typhoons back to back in a month, the flooding, landslides, strong earthquake, volcano acting up. I know it's been rough for everyone living there. Sue

2 very generous countries have given funds to the Philippines to improve their weather forecasting and info disseminating systems.
Australia has given P17 million and Japan has given P1.7 billion.

I hope the funds will be properly used. Much pain and sorrow can be alleviated by this. Kudos to Australia and Japan!! Smiley
